Sausages wrapped in an airy dough with BBQ sauce and sprinkled with sesames perfect as a snack on a trip or in a lunch. On Danish these tasty treats are called "pølsehorn" translated to sausage horn and are baked in the oven.

Notes

You can use cocktail sausages or any type of sausage you desire.

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a pot and warm the milk with the butter.
  2. Pour it into a mixing bowl and add the yeast. Mix until the yeast has been dissolved.
  3. Add the other ingredients and knead it together. Let the dough rise for an hour.
  4. Mix the ingredients for the barbecue sauce.
  5. When an hour has approximately passed start to turn the oven to 200°C (180°C fan-assisted oven mode) and prepare a baking sheet with baking paper.
  6. Knead the dough again and split into 20 pieces (or equal the amount of sausages)
  7. When you are ready then start out with rolling out the first piece of dough with a rolling pin.
  8. Add the sauce onto the newly flattened dough.
  9. Place the sausage at the bottom of the dough and roll it together.
  10. Let them rise for 15 minutes on the baking sheet.
  11. You can brush the rolls with water and sesame seeds before they are put into the oven.
  12. They need around 15 minutes in the oven (depending on the sizes).

Tip

Instead of rolling the dough out into equal size pieces you can split it into 2 large doughs and roll them out, and slice them into 8 pieces like pizza slices.
